The Abruzzi National Park was established in 1923 to preserve the unique natural features and to save from extinction certain wild animals.
Spread over 50,000 hectares, it is located in the heart of the central Apennines, in Abruzzi, Lazio and Molise and includes 25 municipalities.
The landscape is characterized by mountain ranges, carsic phenomena, streams and rivers, including the Sangro river: an ideal place to spend pleasant days in close contact with nature and admire uncontaminated landscapes, rich flora and varied fauna.
Here, in fact, some species such as the brown bear, the golden eagle, the wolf, deer, otter and chamois have found their refuge and their habitat.
